2012 Miss America Pageant Contestants Continued

On Saturday, January 14th the following contestants, along with the ladies from our previous blogs post, will compete to be crowned Miss America 2012. You can watch all of the pageant’s contestants grace the stage in their.

Miss Hawaii – Lauren Kealohilani Cheape is a 24-year-old from Mililani. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Hawaii, and she is planning on pursuing a Master’s degree in business administration. Her talent is a jump rope routine.

Miss Idaho –Genevieve Nutting is a 22-year-old from Boise. Genevieve is a journalism student at Boise State University. Her talent is playing the piano.

Miss Illinois – Hannah Smith, a 20-year-old from Huntley, is a student at Northern Illinois University. One day Hannah hopes to own a dance studio. Her talent is ballet en Pointe.

Miss Indiana – Jackie Jerlecki is a 23-year-old Goshen native. Jackie is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. She has dreams of one day becoming an artistic director for a community children’s theatre. Her talent is vocal.

Miss Iowa – Jessica Pray, a 19-year-old from Johnston, is a student at the University of Iowa where she has hopes to graduate with honors. One of her long-term career goals is to become an opera performer. Jessica’s talent is contemporary vocals.

Miss Kansas – Carissa Kelley is a 24-year-old student at Cowley College. The Winfield native is working to achieve her Bachelor’s degree in nutrition. Carissa is currently on the Dean’s list, and her talent is dancing.

Miss Kentucky – Ann Blair Thornton, a 22-year-old from Bowling Green, is an English and economics major at Western Kentucky University. Ann has ambitions of earning her law degree. Her talent is playing the piano.

Miss Louisiana – Hope Anderson is a 23-year-old from Monroe. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and someday she hopes to be an anchor on the “Today Show.” Hope’s talent is contemporary Pointe dance

Miss Maine – Julia Furtado, a 20-year-old from Dayton, is a student at the University of New England. She aspires to earn a Doctorate degree in physical therapy and to become a pediatric physical therapist. Julia’s talent is vocal.

Miss Maryland – Carlie Colella is a 21-year-old from Hagerstown. She is a student at Hood College, where she is a senior, majoring in business marketing and a member of the women’s soccer team. Carlie’s talent is contemporary dance.

Miss Massachusetts – Molly Whalen, a 21-year-old from Middleboro, is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is a student at the Northeastern University Graduate School, where she is taking classes in pursuit of a master of science in applied nutrition. Molly’s talent is vocal.

Miss Michigan – Elizabeth Ann Wertenberger is a 22-year-old from Dundee. In addition to being crowed Miss Michigan, Elizabeth was also crowned Miss Monroe in 2008. She is a student at the Kendall College of Art & Design, and her talent is jazz dance.
