2012 Miss America Pageant Contestants Continued

With less than three weeks until a Miss America 2012 is crowned, this year’s pageant contestants have created videos of themselves explaining their personal style, personality and why they should be chosen as Miss America 2012. Viewers and fans can watch each video and vote for their favorite contestant online at MissAmerica.org. Don’t forget to tune in to the pageant on January 14 to see all of the fabulous beauty pageant dresses and who is crowned Miss America 2012. From Minnesota to North Dakota, here are some of the contestants you can look forward to seeing compete in the 2012 Miss America pageant.

Miss Minnesota – Courtney Porter, 25, from Clay is a 2009 graduate of Auburn University, where she majored in communication. One day Courtney hopes to achieve a Master’s degree in communication. Her talent is tap dancing.

Miss Mississippi – Mary Margaret Roark is a 21-year-old from Cleveland. Mary is a communication major at Mississippi State University. She is the third MSU communication major to be crowned Miss Mississippi. Mary’s talent is playing the piano.

Miss Missouri – Sydney Friar, 22, from El Dorado Springs is a 2011 graduate of Evangel University where she majored in public relations and advertising. One day Sydney wants to work on community and leadership development for rural communities. Her talent is vocal.

Miss Montana – Veronika Ohlinger, a 23-year-old from Cooke City, is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan. One of Veronika’s ambitions is to earn a Master’s degree in broadcast journalism. Her talent is vocal.

Miss Nebraska – Kayla Batt, 21, of Alliance, is a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2007 Kayla was crowned Miss Outstanding Teen. Her talent is playing the piano.

Miss Nevada – Alana Lee, 22, of Las Vegas, is a student at Dixie State University where she majors in mass communications. One day Alana hopes to be a news anchor on a national television station. Her talent is vocal.

Miss New Hampshire – Regan Elizabeth Hartley, 20, of Dover is a junior at Suffolk University majoring in advertising. Regan is a Dean’s list student and a 2009 member of the Broadcaster’s Association. Her talent is vocal.

Miss New Jersey – Katharyn Nicolle is a 20-year-old from Wenonah. Katharyn is a student at Dickinson College, where she is majoring in International studies. In addition to her many scholastic accomplishments, she was accepted to study at the University of Bologna, Italy. Katharyn’s talent is dance.

Miss New Mexico – Sarina Turnbull, 24, of Alamogordo, is a graduate of New Mexico State University. One of Sarina’s ambitions is to earn a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. Her talent is ballet en Pointe.

Miss New York – Kaitlin Monte, 22, of Pittsford, is a graduate of the University of Tampa. One day Kaitlin hopes to become a professional actress and an entertainment producer. Her talent is vocals.

Miss North Carolina – Hailey Best, 21, of Goldsboro, is a student at Meredith College. Hailey hopes to achieve her Master’s degree in education, and her talent is operatic vocal.

Miss North Dakota – Ariana Walker, 20, of Bismarck, is a graduate of the University of Mary. Ariana hopes to earn a Doctorate in physical therapy, specializing in pediatrics. Her talent is contemporary lyrical dance.
