There are so many things to do when planning for a beauty pageant. Finding a dress, choosing a hairstyle, and practicing your talent can all be hard work; but all are important factors when preparing for a pageant. Make sure you don’t forget one more important preparation – reviewing your answers to questions you may be asked during the pageant interview. Here is a list of some of the most commonly asked pageant questions.
- Are you pro-life or pro-choice? Why?
- The number of teenage pregnancies is high is the US. What, if anything, do you think our country should do to lower the number of pregnant teens?
- Who is your role model? Why?
- What book are you currently reading, or what is the last book you’ve read? Did you enjoy it? Why or why not?
- What makes you stand out from the other contestants in this beauty pageant?
- What are your future plans?
- Why did you decide to enter this pageant?
- What do you believe makes a woman beautiful?
- What types of clubs and activities are you involved in, both in and out of school?
- What qualities do you believe a woman needs to have in order to be successful in life?
Remember that it’s not only the answer you give the judges, but how you answer. Keep yourself up to date with current events by watching the news on a daily basis, remain poised as you talk with the judges, and have confidence in yourself and your answers! If you follow this advice and rehearse your answers, then the interview portion of a beauty pageant should be a breeze!
