We want your prom and other special occasions to be the best they can be, and for you to have the best experience when buying your dream dress for those events. Whether you are looking for a classic princess style, a modern mermaid, a flirty two-piece or a non-traditional romper, you can get all the information you need about ordering your dress in the right size in our information below. Prom Headquarters FAQs

Q: Does Prom Headquarters have a physical store?

A: Yes! To the locals, we’re known as Dimitra Designs. We are located in the heart of Greenville, South Carolina. Find our store address and phone number above, and feel free to contact us. Please visit our store’s page to read more about who we are and our experience in the industry.

Q: When will a dress be available if it’s not in stock?

A: Because these formal wear dresses are always in high demand, our designers have a tentative stock count. If you have questions about the availability of a dress you are interested in, please call our toll-free number or email us at info@dimitradesigns.com with the designer, style number, size, color and wear date. We will contact the designer to see if and when we can get the dress you are inquiring about.

Q: When can I expect my package?

A: After you place your order, it will be processed as soon as possible with our online ordering department. If the item you ordered is in our stock, an estimated ship date will be provided in a confirmation email. If we need to order the gown from one of our designer’s warehouses, we will notify you of the availability and the estimated ship date. Q: Can I order my dress by phone?

A: Yes, send us a note through the contact form and we'll call you. You can also call us at 864-263-4371 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST.

Q: Are you an authorized retailer?

A: Yes! We have been a proud authorized retailer for more than 30 years. You can learn more about our accreditation on our Authorized Retailer page and by clicking on the Better Business Bureau (BBB), ABPIA, and TPW Approved Prom Shop logos at the bottom of the page.

Q: Are your dresses available in colors that aren't shown on the website?

A: No. The only colors available are those that are shown. If you have questions about a specific color or embellishment, please call customer service. Our trained agents can help you distinguish between different colors and help determine what kinds of embellishments are included on specific dresses.

Q: Are my measurements necessary for my order?

A: Yes! In order to make sure that every one of our customers receives a dress in the correct size, our Fashion Consultant team reaches out to confirm that you have chosen the right size for your measurements. If you don’t have your measurements and can’t go to a local store to get them done, please refer to our store’s measurement video.

Q: How can I be sure that I'm ordering my dress in the correct size?

A: We include the correct sizing chart on the pages of every item on our website and a video of How to Measure that explains the proper measurement process step-by-step. Make sure that you consult the chart on the page of the item that you plan to order, as every designer has a different size chart. If you have questions about sizing, call us at 864-263-4371 and we'll do our best to help you.

Q: What is your return policy?

A: Due to the nature of the formalwear industry and our status as a retailer, all orders placed through any one of our vendors are considered special orders. We do not offer a try-on service. These orders do not allow for exchanges or returns to us or to our vendors. While most of our customers are exceptionally happy with their experience, we understand that there are very rare instances that may require you to return your dress. Please refer to our return policy page for a more detailed explanation of our policy.

Q: What is the extra size fee on my order?

A: This fee is applied to some garments size 18 and over due to the extra material used in the manufacturing process.

Q: Can I put a rush order on a last-minute prom dress?

A: No, we are subject to the production times of the designers. The average production time is 3-4 months. Some designers offer a drop ship option for orders with upcoming wear dates, which may incur another fee, but the dress has to be ready from production.

Q: Are alterations available for online orders?

A: Unfortunately, since we are unable measure your fit in person, we are unable to provide alterations for our online clients. If you're able to come into the store, we'd be happy to help you there!
