How to Deal with Losing a Beauty Pageant
Apr 26th 2013
After months of training, the big day has come and gone and you were not crowned the winner of the big pageant.
Now is not the time to pout and feel bad for yourself. Cheer up! You had the courage to get up on that stage and you did your best! You may think that all is lost, but here are a few tips in dealing with losing and moving onward to future success:
- There’s only one winner. Face it; you weren’t the only one there who was disappointed at the end of the day. Get in touch with some of the other girls you competed with and see how they’re dealing with it. You might even make a few new friends!
- When life knocks you down, you’re only a failure if you stay down. Get back up and try again. Now, you have the wonderful opportunity to learn from what you did and try something different! Maybe a new pageant swimsuit is in order for next time?
- Never quit! You can only be a winner if you dust yourself off and compete again! Remember, Oprah Winfrey was fired from her first job as a television reporter and was told she was “unfit for tv”.
So you lost, big deal! There’s always going to be another pageant and another opportunity around the corner, so be prepared to face it!
