Pageantry Success isn’t All about Beauty

Pageantry Success isn’t All about Beauty

Oct 10th 2011

Beauty isn’t everything. If your attitude is sour and you don’t treat other pageant contestants with kindness you won’t be winning any type of crown. No matter how wonderful you look onstage in your glitzy pageant dress, you still need to be kind and generous to the other pageant contestants. Here are some tips from Pageant Designs that will help you succeed in the wonderful world of beauty pageants.

  • It doesn't matter if the other pageant contestants are acting catty towards each other, treat each and every one of them with the upmost kindness and respect. Not only is this showing good sportsmanship, but it’s also showing your fellow contestants that whatever they’re saying doesn't bother you.
  • Maintain good etiquette and manners throughout the pageant. This includes, but is not limited to, standing up straight, saying please and thank you, and always wearing a smile.
  • Maintaining good sportsmanship involves smiling even though you didn't win. We understand that you spent a lot of time and energy preparing for this pageant, but even if you’re not crowned queen, keep your head up and a smile on your face. You can further show that you’re not a sore loser by congratulating the pageant winner. Being upset isn’t going to change the judge’s decision; it will only make you look bad. Besides, there is always next time!

During your next beauty pageant, show everyone what a great sport you are, and treat your fellow pageant contestants with respect and kindness.
