Preparations for the Day of Homecoming
Oct 21st 2011
You have spent so long preparing and shopping for the perfect homecoming dress, and now the day of the homecoming dance is here! Don’t let all of your troubles go to waste by forgetting something as simple as the lip gloss you bought especially for homecoming. Stay organized all day with a checklist you already have prepared. Here are some of the things you can include on your homecoming checklist.
- If you’re going to take a purse with you to homecoming, make a list of everything you want to have inside or place things inside as you buy them. Include things like an extra pair of nylons, lip-gloss, a travel makeup kit, travel deodorant, extra cash, gum, bobby pins and anything else you think you might need.
- No matter how busy you are, eat a good breakfast and lunch. You’ll feel refreshed and energized later that night, instead of sluggish.
- Check with your date and confirm what time he’s picking you up, or what time you’re meeting at the homecoming dance.
- Exercising in the morning can help you feel energized and healthy.
- Stay relaxed. There’s no reason to work yourself up. If something goes wrong, simply find a way to fix it or deal with it in the best way possible. If you are feeling stressed, sit down in a quiet room and take ten deep breaths.
- Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. This stress relief strategy should help you calm down.
Homecoming only comes around once a year, and you spent a lot of time preparing for this special night, so the most important thing to remember is to have fun!
